Delhi - “Political, Historical and Cultural city of India”
Delhi is one of the metropolis city and capital of India. It was established by british architect Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker in 1911. The city has headquarters of executive, legislative and judicial branch of the Government of India.
Delhi is one of the most populous cities of India and has the largest urban area in the country. It is known for its wide tree-lined avenues and is home to numerous national institutions, museums and monuments.
The city encompasses many historical and political monuments such as Qutab Minar, tomb of Humayun, President House, India Gate, Mughal Garden, National Zoo and many more. The city has been declared a World Heritage Site. In addition, the city has other places of interest as well. The current presidential palace, former residence of the British viceroys, Raj Ghat or memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and Purana Quila are some of the lovely eye sights in Delhi.
The climate of Delhi is somewhat drier. It has wet climate from late June to late September. The rainiest months are July and August, the rest of the year the rains are scarce and occasional. The temperature is mild in winter. So if you are planning to visit Delhi, you will get fantastic weather every season.
